Isaac's Yummy Disappearing Corn on the Cob in the Crockpot

1 dz ears of corn, remove husks and silk
1/4 c. melted butter add salt and pepper
I cut the ends off of the cobs, then cut them in half. (easy for little hands to hold)
Brush with butter and wrap in aluminum foil.
Stand corn on end in crockpot. I had 2 layers of wrapped corn.
I added about a half inch of water in the bottom to create steam.
I cooked the corn on low for about 4 hours.
